Mini E

October 30, 2008

The Mini E will be powered by a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor and fed by a high-performance rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the vehicle will be nearly silent and emissions free. BMW Group says that they will be putting 500 cars on the road under real daily traffic conditions which will make it possible to gain widely applicable hand-on experience.

Based on the current Mini model, the car will initially be available as a two-seater. (The space in the back seat will initially be taken up by the lithium-ion battery.) The battery can be plugged into all standard power outlets.

The Mini E’s styling is a bit different. A specially designed logo in Yellow, depicting a power plug in the shape of an “E” is set against a silver backdrop. It will be applied to the roof, the front and back, and the charger port lid.

Its a modern cuckoo clock… but instead of a cuckoo you get a mini going around the clock with the clock face itself looking like the tachometer of the mini… I find it really strange though…

Mini Car Cuckoo Clock

December 8, 2006

The Cuckoo Clock has evolved. A chrome clock that has the speedometer of a car as the clock face, and the “miles per hour” reading takes over the hours and the minutes. Looking out for the turn of the hour, where an extremely detailed miniature red Mini will make its appearance from the “garage” located at the bottom, making a complete round of the entire clock along with authentic engine and horn noises. The red Mini is  constructed in a 1:93 scale.

It looked like an owl…

update.. oh i forgot… I got my first car today too…
