Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

February 27, 2008

The front-engined rear-wheel drive flagship Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is the only two-door four-seater in the line.

The 612 is available with Ferrari’s SuperFast gearbox that allows a driver to shift the paddle shifters located on the steering column in an astonishing 100 milliseconds. While shifting away, the V12 is capable of reaching top speed of 200 mph.

The new model comes complete with an electrochromic panoramic roof that covers the length of the top of the cabin. With a turn of a knob, the entire ceiling changes from opaque to translucent, instantly adjusting the level of sunlight that may penetrate the interior.

The Segway PT i2 Ferrari Limited Edition despite being painted in red, having a “Genuine Leather” handlebar and sporting the Cavallino Rampante shield, doesn’t run any faster than a regular Segway. 38 km is the maximum range for the i2 with lithium-ion batteries but its nice.

First there were the laptops with big name car brand designs, now we have mobile phones with big name car brand designs and fashion labels.
The Hummer slider phone with camo prints has specs which you can expect from a standard multimedia phone it sports a 2.2 inch touchscreen supporting 262k colors, 2 Megapixel camera, 25 MB of onboard memory, FM Radio, Bluetooth A2DP and Micro SD card slot.

The Vertu Ferrari 1947 has a scaled-down replica of the Ferrari brake pedal in aluminium on the back, a prancing horse on the front and a black and red leather trim.

The first Porsche Design Mobile Phone was christened in Germany as the “P’9521”. The casing, which is “milled out of a solid aluminum block,” has a double-hinged screen that can be rotated 180 degrees when the phone is used as a camera. Even more interesting is the handset’s biometric security features, which include a fingerprint reader that can be programmed to correspond with various functions.

The LG Prada is a very attractive, slim, candybar handset with a large color touchscreen that looks a tad like Apple’s iPhone. It was conceived by designers from both LG and Prada–Miuccia Prada herself was involved in its design. 54mm wide by 99mm tall by 12mm deep, microSD slot, 2-megapixel camera with LED photo light, touch screen, video player,  but no 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity.

The RAZR V3i D&G is clad in a bright gold skin and features D&G-themed wallpapers and ring tones. The feature set and basic form factor unchanged form the original RAZR V3. The color scheme extends to the inside of the phone as the navigation array, the keypad buttons and the border surrounding the internal display are covered in the same bright hue. You also get a gold D&G dangle that attaches to your handset, and the box is covered in gold as well.

Yet another Ferrari product to tempt the poor Ferrari lovers… after producing the Ferrari ART.ENGINE which costed a whooping USD20k, and the Acer laptops, this time it is teaming up with Meridian to create their new F80 do-it-all entertainment center. The retro-styled radio can play CDs/DVDs, hook up with your iPod, and manage to pump out 80 watts of power.  At USD1,495, maybe the poor majority can now have their hands on one? The F80 will be out by the end of the month in 5 different colors.

Shaped like a speaker, it’s actually a 3′ tall, stand-alone audio system that can be connected wirelessly to the PC or via RCA inputs. It the first audio product for lifestyle that Ferrari has ever licensed. At the base is a Ferrari logo and at the top is quintessential Ferrari engine start button, its that simple. 1000 units in production only at USD20,000 a piece. It will go nicely with the Acer Ferrari notebook… hahaha…
