Audi Centenary Sculpture

July 11, 2009

A 32 metre-high sculpture for Audi at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England.

Designed by Gerry Judah it celebrates Audi’s achievements in motor sport with the legendary 1937 Auto Union Streamliner and the recently launched R8 V10 sports car at either end of a dramatic “swoosh” of tyre tracks, as if they are driving off into the sky.

Audi Shark Concept

March 3, 2009

The Audi Shark is a futuristic flying concept vehicle with a streamlined design inspired by motorcycles and airplanes. It was designed by Kazim Doku and won the Desire Competition by Domus Academy.

The two-seater flying sportscar is inspired by the world of motorclycles and airplanes and offers its passengers “strong sensations and high levels of safety.”

The streamlined design of the exterior offers a visual reference to the car’s name and – in combination with the rear lower spoiler – gives the vehicle an “underwater” appearance.

Both the headlights and the tail lights are made by transparent tubes which integrate LED units. The interior features sporty seats integrated in the cockpit structure.

Audi O Concept

October 28, 2008

The idea behind Audi O concept was to design “a large music player”, fusing audio equipment with transport.
The design of the front and rear lights represents the shape of sound waves. The doors feature glass windows running along the bottom edge. Black rims give a contrast to the white body of the concept and visible circle spokes represent vinyl.

The shape of the rear pull-out door echoes the characteristic front Audi mask which is sitting between front LED lamps. The rear door is fitted with a DJ set with mixing decks. The decks can be removed and used anywhere outside the car.

To increase sound quality, the central tunnel carries two subwoofers. Also, there are speakers placed in the door panels as well as under each seat, inside of pillars and the in the dash-board.
The concept is powered by a diesel/electric hybrid.

Audi R8

November 25, 2007

The R8 is launched today in Singapore. It is the fastest production car Audi has ever produced, but because each one is constructed with painstaking precision, largely by hand, it actually has the by far the slowest build process of all Audi models.

USD13,300 replica of an Audi Auto Union Type C roadster, a perfect 1:2 scale copy of the classic Grand Prix race car. It’s a car that only goes as fast as the little tyke can pump its pedals. It’s built to the same standards of a fine full-sized automobile.
