Random pic of the week

September 1, 2008

Built out of carbon fiber and extruded aluminum, the pneumatic powered Cybertek Wings will actually extend and retract like a bird’s wings, and will do so about 7 times before they have to be recharged with air pressure for about 5-10 minutes. You can even customise your wings with choice of colored wingtips, which activate when the wings expand.

USD1000 for a set built to order. What’s it for? To look cool in a not too serious world?

Incredibly well crafted “bio-mechanical” set of angel wings. First time that I’ve seen something like this … I can imagine that this will be a hit at the next Goth / Industrial music gathering or Front 242 concert in your neighborhood. 😉

Be sure to check out the 2.1 version of these wings … apparently have a 25% greater opening width, and run about $100 more than the version shown above.

Kudos to the designer and the online boutique that carries this item. Also, the models are quite easy on the eyes. Keep the innovations coming.

    Take care,

    Brent

Hello, I am a glass artist and I am very interested in the compression system you used and how the mechanics work.
I hope to hear from you soon!

    Thanks
