Foot Flush®

March 31, 2008

The Foot Flush® is a foot pedal designed to use in your homes bathroom in order to keep away germs and keep your family clean and healthy. It hooks to your toilet flusher and pulls the handle down when you step on the foot pedal, creating a hands-free toilet experience. Our toilets in Singapore or either big push buttons or proximity sensors now. But still a great idea.

Random pic of the week

March 31, 2008

Designed by Joel Escalona, the USB bomb looks like one of those bombs that Wile E. Coyote might have purchased from the ACME catalog, or maybe from those old Spy vs. Spy cartoons in MAD magazine. Looks big enough to house either a ton of flash memory or a hard drive.

Motorola ROKR E8

March 30, 2008

I saw a dummy of this the other day at a Starhub roadshow in Bugis Junction. It looks pretty, and seems to a touch screen but with the familiar way of a keypad.
This phone is 115 x 53 x 11mm and 99g. 2-inch QVGA display, 2Gb memory expandable with microSD and a miserable 2 megapixels camera like my E51. FastScroll navigation wheel to search for music (music mode), contacts (phone mode), calendar (phone mode) and multimedia (imaging mode) and the phone provides vibrating, tactile feedback when the user touches virtual buttons. Will it be the next winner for Motorola?

Hauzen resembles a giant dust mite magnified a million times over. Using cameras to automatically map the room in 3D to be cleaned, it has enough built-in smarts to avoid obstacles and return to base to juice up when the power guage starts to dip. Same as any other robot vac but prettier…

Looks like expensive facial cleansers to me…

This guy decided to just build his own planter out of Lego because these Park Planters inspired him but were too expensive for his liking.

CMYK Shade

March 26, 2008

Laser cut acrylic CMYK shade in flatpack design has option of mixing and matching any two of the four colors CMYK which stands for cyan, magenta, yellow and black. It comes in single colors or double combinations, and requires self-assembly. Nice but I don’t mean to be insulting when I say it looks like something from an old culture. Maybe it’s meant to be that way?
But the colours are really beautiful.

Guy Robot

March 26, 2008

The piece parts that go into each Guy Robot flow from a range of industrial tributaries: aerospace and avionics surplus suppliers, automotive salvage yards, long-haul microwave equipment recyclers, decommissioned plumbing and refrigeration remnants, vintage hand-tool swap-meet winnings.
