Samsung S60 Smart Phones

October 24, 2007

Samsung has finally gone where all mobile phone companies has gone… S60. Don’t know why it took them so long to realise not all human likes pretty phones with single functions. The SGH-i550, SGH-i560 and SGH-i450 are all smart phones and run version 9.2 of the Symbian operating system.

The main features of SGH-i550 and  SGH-i560 include built-in GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity and Bluetooth stereo support with the SGH-i550 sporting additional FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The SGH-i550 is expected to be available in Asia later this year.

The SGH-i560, however, will not make its way here.

The SGH-i450 has 2-megapixel camera, microSD slot, HSDPA connectivity and Bluetooth stereo support and Ice power audio technology (B&O). The slide seems like a cross between one of Samsung’s MP3 player and the Nokia N95.

So… I am still not happy.. all three phones look like blocks to me, so it gives me the impression Samsung is just doing it half heartedly because there is a market for it but it’s not their forte.

I like samsung phones a lot but recently I also have noticed they have lost their innovative ideas.
