Sony has Macbook Pro imitation

November 2, 2006

Sony’s ultra-portable VAIO® VGN-N130G/W notebook features an Intel® Core™ Duo processor, built-in editing software suite for photos and videos, CD/DVD burner, 15.4″ widescreen display with XBRITE-ECO™ LCD technology, 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN and is “Windows Vista™ Premium Ready”.

Maybe fans of Apple will mistake it for Macbook Pro and buy it…

Beautiful, a head-turner, actually looks lovelier than a Macbook Pro. Fast. Downloading MP3s while editing ACAD drawings are not a problem at all.
However it is too heavy at almost 7 pounds. Hope that it doesn’t break down here in the Philippines coz Sony has poor tech support here.
Bring in the bag with the AC adapter and extra batteries and having to walk from Gate 80 of CLK to the Gogo Bus terminal could be so tortuous (let alone having to stand in line through immigration gates to go to China bringing this thing along).

OK, u shouldn’t judge the entire laptop based on customer service. I mean come on, this laptop was a great investment. I had two compaq and an toshiba and this one beats them all. I have had no problems yet, but I just got this two weeks ago from best buy..great buy, highly recommended. The only problem is the speakers are a bit low, but I always buy external speakers so it doesn’t bother me at all. I love my laptop and soo many compliments..
