This is what all restaurants should have… Waiters don’t have to ask you what you want to drink, just press a remote control button, a circular refrigerator, containing glass shelves and food trays, will rise from the centre of the appliance. It is the perfect size for bread, milk, beverages, condiments, fruit, veg and desserts. The restaurants will probably sell more due to human’s craving for sweets placed in front of them.

Tina the Tortoise

October 28, 2006

It didn’t say how Tina lost her rear right leg but she was fitted with a plastic wheel four years ago to replace the leg. Recovering from her depression, she wore out and buckled the wheel over time as she tried to access rougher parts of her enclosure.

So, Tina the tortoise has been given a lift after being fitted with a suspension system and a pneumatic tyre to help her cope with muddy terrain. The three-legged reptile can now go ‘off-road’ after the 4×4-style system was attached to her shell.

Maybe the hare did it…

The other day I talked about the Digital shower Grohtherm Wireless and being able to switch on your shower and control the temperature, little did I know that the bathroom has really gone so high tech nowadays and Grohe is not the only one in the bandwagon.

On the papers today, I come across the Pharo whirlpool and its remote and mini control pad… The remote contains preprogrammed whirl settings and will accept individually programmed settings and is completely waterproof. The mini control pad operate all system combinations including Halogen Light, Exafill Tub Filler/Overflow, Water Jets, Air Jets and the Thermostat…

Having a bath just got really complex…

Melon Ease melon slicer

October 28, 2006

I often find salesman screaming about wonderful gadgets in the market on weekends and sometimes in busy town center, things that solves problems and does the job like one handed wrench, water saving shower head, one wipe stain removers, only SGD19.99, or buy one get another free, or lifetime guarantee, but there is always the thought… if it is that great, why do you need to sell it this way? Why not just buy some shelf space in the mall.

This melon slicer gave me the same thought. Wonderful problem solver that never appears on the shelves. Simply cut melon in half, remove seeds, push Melon Ease down into center, and turn the easy-grip handle.

A solution looking for a problem… but interesting nevertheless…
