3M Health Care has announced the Littmann Electronic Stethoscope which packs features most headphone users would be familiar with, such as noise cancellation and greater sound clarity. With the souped-up hearing, the Littman then transmits the lung, heart and body sounds wirelessly to the bundled Zargis StethAssist program for further analysis, as well as to keep a record on file. The cost has also been upgraded, at a pricey USD379, which hopefully won’t trickle down too much to the tab on your next visit to the clinic.

To demonstrate their long lasting evolta batteries, panasonic drove the small Evoia robot for 24 hours at the race track powered by two small AA evolta batteries, covering a record setting distance of 23.726 km. It set the guinness world record on August 6. This is the second record for the evolta battery, which previously was given the honour of ‘longest lasting AA alkaline battery’.
