Hamburg’s Hafencity Science Centre and Aquarium
January 31, 2008

The building of 23,000 m2 will comprise of a Science Centre, aquarium, theatre, offices, laboratories and commercial and retail facilities and is located at the eastern edge of Hafencity, Hamburg’s ambitious harbor redevelopment.

The Science Centre is constructed of ten modular blocks that connect to form a ring shaped building. This concept allows for maximum flexibility for exhibitions. Visitors will start their visit at the so called “base station” just under the top of the building, cross over through the exhibition halls and descend in the modular blocks through the various exhibited scientific subjects.
I reminded me of a drawing I did when I was in the Polytechnics 15 years ago… I thought drawing blocks was the most un-creative thing to do for a “future” theme but I did get good marks for it…hahah…

Apple MacBook Air
January 29, 2008
![]()
The MacBook Air. It’s a full-size notebook encased in the 0.4 – 1.94 cm of sleek, sturdy anodised aluminium. And at just 1.36 kg, There’s no CD drive, one usb port and very little else. A new feature called Remote Disc lets you wirelessly use or “borrow” the optical drive of a Mac or PC in the vicinity… Do downloads, watch movies and handle installations wirelessly, back up files wirelessly using Apple’s new Time Capsule.
All so nice and advance… from SGD2988. Maybe I just buy an Asus Eee for a sixth of the price and dream the day I have too much disposable income… I mean I loved it but it really is not for the common people on the street.
