A Review: Samsung NV 10

March 10, 2007

I posted 10 megapixels cameras rush in october last year… yesterday, my heart itched and I bought Samsung NV10 at the Singapore IT Show in Suntec and played with it the whole night until the battery go flat. It is a very nice piece of metal for only SGD599 with 2x 2Gb SD cards and other stuffs for free. simple and has functions of an ancient SLR for the prosumers to play with, including modes in Manual, Program, Anti shake, Special effects, Movie and Scene. Oh.. and a smart touch UI buttons and Schneider-KREUZNACH lens… nice.

So, you can play with the ISO for up to a 1000, sharpness, flash types (I didn’t know flash has got so many types), auto macro(real close to your object, I love it), different light conditions, timer, movie and photo editing etc. What’s nice about the design as compared to the other brands in the same category is that it has hand hold area so its more ergonomical but a bit on the heavy side though. For more details, click on the link before it disappears as the nice model NV11 has been introduced…argh! and with face recognition…double argh! Anyway, the NV 10 is good enough to replace my ultra slim Casio Exilim EX-M2 of ancient origin.
